What is the personality of a Pit Bull?

The American Pit Bull Terrier is a high energy, highly athletic breed that belongs to the Terrier family. They enjoy life, and need LOTS of excersize, as well as proper socialization with other dogs at an early age. However, they are perfect for rural life, particularly on a farm. However, if you live in areas that see cold winters, you must understand that Pit Bulls are not an all-weather dog (such as a Huskey or Akita), and absolutely cannot be left outdoors at all times. They are extremely curious, and as a puppy they’re inclined to get into mischeif. They don’t easily give up, which is a trait that unfortunately has been abused by humans involved in dog fighting.

I think it is not so much where you live, but how much attention and exercise the dog gets. I would not specify a particular type of housing, rather the fact that it is important for the dog to get lots of attention and exercise daily.
